MY PROFILE

Running has always been an extremely important part of my life. I have 40 years of personal running experience, ranging from Track Club Athletics to Road Running Clubs.  I have competed in Track Meetings, Road Races, Trail Races and X-Country competition and continue to do so.  I have completed numerous races over traditional distances such as 10 Miles, Half Marathons, 20 Miles and Full Marathons. My personal best time over 10 Miles is 69 minutes, Half Marathon is 91 minutes, 20 Miles is 2 hours 35 minutes and the Full Marathon is 3 hours 28 minutes.

After establishing a career in the Flavour & Fragrance Industry for over 20 years, I decided to return to Track & Field Club Athletics as a Middle Distance & Endurance Coach.  I have worked with the Sports Partnership Programme in Essex teaching Multi Skills, X-C and Middle Distance running to Primary & Secondary Schools. I coach Middle Distance at a local Athletics Club, and I also coach and manage a local Running Group which I set up in 2015. I have several clients that I look after on a one2one basis. I enjoy working with all ages and abilities and as a Mental Health Ambassador I also appreciate the need to just run & talk sometimes!

Running will always be my passion and I still enjoy setting myself challenging but achievable goals and targets. I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of the sport, whether it is coaching, racing, watching Athletics or just running & having a chat with friends.

Takeley Running Group

We welcome runners of all ages (min.18 years) into the group. We meet on Wednesday evenings and/or Friday mornings where we train together as a group. Each session is structured and coached to suit all abilities. We pride ourselves on being very friendly and welcoming. Each member of the group is valued and your personal running goal is important to us.
